Los Angeles thrashers FUELED BY FIRE unveil music video for “Bloodshed”

The band's first new music since 2013; B-side from upcoming seven-inch release available to stream now

Los Angeles thrash metal force FUELED BY FIRE have unleashed a visualizer video for their first new song since 2013, “Bloodshed.” The song is the B-side from their upcoming release, “Past...Present...No Future...Part 1,” the first in a pair of two-song 7-inch releases produced by Allan Falcon (Exmortus, Blade Killer), mixed by Carlos Cruz (Warbringer, Hexen, Power Trip) and mastered by Joel Grind (Toxic Holocaust, Exhumed, Midnight). Pre-orders for the physical 7-inch release (out November 12th) – limited to 300 copies, pressed on white vinyl and includes a bonus sticker - is available now HERE. The song itself is now available to purchase/stream on all digital platforms.

"'Bloodshed' is a song about the horrors of mass killings. The idea to write about this theme was inspired by a real-life event that occured in 2015 when a premeditated massacre took place during a live music concert in Paris, France at a venue known as the Bataclan Theater," explains singer/guitarist Rick Rangel. "We played a show at the Bataclan Theater a few years before the attack took place and had some amazing memories playing there. The day that the massacre happened, I felt a great deal of shock and grief, I kept thinking about the bands and victims and how it could've happened at our show. The lyrics are a brutal reminder that this can happen anywhere at any time."

Having gone on hiatus in 2014 after a string of impressive European festival performances, FUELED BY FIRE reconvened at the beginning of 2020 to record new music. Initially set to be released in fall 2020, the four songs put together by the new lineup – consisting of returning members Rick Rangel (guitars/vocals), Anthony Vasquez (bass) and Carlos Gutierrez (drums), who are now joined by Gutierrez's bandmate in Blade Killer, guitarist Jon Rubio – were further refined during the COVID-19 pandemic. The first of two 7-inch singles to come, “Past...Present...No Future...Part 1” showcases FUELED BY FIRE as a group ready to re-stake its claim to thrash metal supremacy, with the second 7-inch single to come in early 2022.

FUELED BY FIRE was formed in 2002 by a group of Southern California teenagers that bonded over a love of '80s thrash metal acts such as Exodus, Testament and Possessed. The group recorded their first demo in 2004 and emerged as a persistent presence on local concerts throughout the greater Los Angeles region. Those shows saw them open for many of the iconic acts that they grew up worshipping, as well as performing alongside other burgeoning thrash bands that were emerging around them in Southern California such as Warbringer and Hexen. The group initially self-released their 2006 debut album, “Spread The Fire.” The album was praised by for its “authentic thrash,” and the combination of their impressive studio effort and prolific live performances earned the attention of Metal Blade Records, who reissued the record a year later.

The group soon spread their sound on stages across the United States alongside fellow rising thrashers such as Bonded by Blood and Merciless Death before re-emerging with their self-released 2010 follow-up record, “Plunging Into Darkness.” That album was applauded by for serving as a reminder of “just how vibrant thrash metal can be,” and the band followed up that momentum by touring Europe alongside heavy hitters such as Kreator, Morbid Angel and Nile. The group applied a more sinister tone to their lyrics and compositions on 2013's “Trapped in Perdition,” which was released by NoiseArt Records and produced by Erik Rutan (Hate Eternal, Cannibal Corpse). The album received accolades from Burning Ambulance for being “their best album yet” and – alongside well-received performances the following year on European festivals such as Hellfest and Metalfest Open Air Loreley – cemented FUELED BY FIRE's reputation as generators of powerful thrash metal.

Classic Rock Icons NIGHT RANGER To Celebrate 10th Anniversary of ‘Somewhere In California’

With Acclaimed Album’s First-Ever Vinyl Release on Record Store Day’s Black Friday

To commemorate the 10th anniversary of “Somewhere In California,” the acclaimed 2011 release by iconic classic rockers NIGHT RANGER, Postseason Records (in conjunction with M-Theory Audio and Record Store Day) will issue the album on vinyl for the first time on Black Friday (Nov. 26). This limited-edition LP – which will be offered on Pacific Blue-colored wax – will feature a gatefold jacket, a printed inner sleeve and an exclusive, in-depth liner notes interview with founding members Jack Blades (bass/vocals), Kelly Keagy (drums/vocals) and Brad Gillis (guitars).

A return to form that measured up to the likes of the platinum classics "Midnight Madness" and “7 Wishes,” “Somewhere In California” – NIGHT RANGER’s tenth studio album – is a modern AOR classic from a legendary band that both epitomized and transcended the arena rock sound. It earned a rare 100% rating from (“simply essential… one of the band’s best records”) and led to the group’s first appearance on the Billboard Top 200 in 23 years. The record was the group's first with guitarist Joel Hoekstra (Whitesnake, Trans-Siberian Orchestra) and ushered in a decade of activity that saw the band – best known for the timeless anthems "Sister Christian," "(You Can Still) Rock In America" and "Don't Tell Me You Love Me" – achieve its highest visibility in years via tours with the likes of Journey, Def Leppard, Foreigner and Sammy Hagar.

“I think this album shows how much NIGHT RANGER has grown over the years,” Keagy said during the liner notes interview. “This became a new start for us, a new beginning for NIGHT RANGER – not only energy-wise, but it showed what good songwriters we were, and that we could continue on and still make great music.”

“It was a conscious effort to make a classic-sounding NIGHT RANGER record,” Blades added. “We didn’t go over the songs so many times to where we were sick of them, and all of a sudden they got neutered. We kept the excitement going, and I think that translated into the actual recordings.”

Having sold over 17 million albums worldwide, performed across more than 4000 stages and captivated a radio audience that exceeds 1 billion, NIGHT RANGER is unquestionably an iconic act of the 1980s rock scene. The band has earned widespread recognition and left an indelible mark on the music industry with a long list of gold, platinum and multi-platinum albums. Their popularity is fueled by an impressive number of instantly recognizable hit singles and signature album tracks that have been prominently featured in many different areas of global media and pop culture, including television (“Glee,” “Grey’s Anatomy”), video games (“Grand Theft Auto”), Broadway (“Rock of Ages”), commercials (Dr. Pepper, JBL) and feature films (“Boogie Nights,” “The Secret of My Success”).

Perhaps most impressively, NIGHT RANGER continues to issue high-quality new material such as the recently released “ATBPO (And The Band Played On)” and deliver energetic live performances that continue to please fans and crowds around the world. The group’s upcoming shows include performances at the Monsters of Rock Cruise’s inaugural Monsters on the Mountain festival, the Kiss Kruise and Sweden Rock Festival.

Blackened Progressive Metal Group VINTERSEA Unveils Dates for

Darker Western Skies Tour

West Coast tour from Pacific Northwest phenoms begins September 24th in Northern California

VINTERSEA - whose unique fusion of majestic progressive metal, harsh blackened death and post-metal beauty draws inspiration from the darkened skies of their Pacific Northwest home – has revealed dates for their upcoming “Darker Western Skies” tour, which begins on Friday, September 24th at The X-Bar in Cupertino, CA, and runs through Sunday, October 3rd. All shows will also feature performances from Bay Area black metal upstarts Dawn of Ouroboros and Southern California death dealers Voices of Ruin. The full list of tour dates is below.

Says VINTERSEA guitarist Riley Nix, “We actually booked this tour in March of 2020, with the plan to hit the road that June. Of course, that wasn't meant to be. Once venues started re-opening and metal fans started clamoring for live music, we put our heads together again with Dawn of Ouroboros and Voices of Ruin to make this run a reality. It is really gratifying and fitting to finally bring our plan to fruition with such talented and exciting bands."

Says VINTERSEA vocalist Avienne, “We’re ready to finally make some faces melt again! We are so excited to get on the road and meet our fans and friends who have shown us so much support over the past year and a half of uncertainty. We love you guys and we can’t wait to see you on this long-awaited tour!”

The “Darker Western Skies” tour will be VINTERSEA's first full tour after the release of their critically-acclaimed 2019 record, “Illuminated”, which was praised by Dead Rhetoric as “a wondrous, challenging record that will reward listeners who are seeking something more.” The album shows off the band's riveting mix of prog, black, death and post-metal that has earned comparisons to forward-thinking acts such as Agalloch and Enslaved. “Illuminated” can be purchased at

Fronted by Malaysian-born singer Avienne, whose vocal range spans from haunting melodies to fierce growls, VINTERSEA delivers heavy, emotionally powerful and technically intriguing music that is undeniably inspired by the majesty of the Pacific Northwest. A series of visually-compelling music videos that communicate the inspirations behind “Illuminated” – culminated by the blood, sweat, and tears put into bringing to life the vision conceived by VINTERSEA bassist Karl Whinnery for the central epic of the album, “Crack of Light,” featuring a set built by the band to accommodate a 40x40-foot pool and a 20-foot-long boat handmade specifically for the video - can be viewed at
